Chicken Shawarma
You need:
2 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp salt
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp turmeric
¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp cayenne
Step by step:
Mix together all ingredients except for chicken thighs to make a paste. Rub over chicken thighs and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350. Heat a large pan on medium high. Spray with cooking spray.
Sear chicken thighs on both sides, about 3 min each side. You may need to do this in stages, so you don’t overcrowd the pan. Once seared, transfer to a baking pan.
Bake chicken thighs until they have reached 160 degrees inside, about 20 minutes.
